How to choose a turban

1. Start with how you want to wear it

If you want a quick option, compare ready-to-wear turbans: their shape is already formed, so you do not need to tie a scarf. Where available, side and rear photographs help you assess coverage and volume.

A scarf with long ties lets you decide where to place the ends and knots. A headband may be a separate accessory rather than a complete head covering. With a set, check what is included and which pieces are removable.

2. Check coverage and fit

Look at how far the style covers the nape and the sides of the face. A simple cap and a turban with layered folds create different silhouettes: decide whether you prefer a close fit or more volume.

If a size or measurement is given, compare it with your head circumference. Use a soft measuring tape without tightening it, above the ears and around the widest part of your head. One size does not mean one universal fit. If unsure, send us your measurement and the style code before ordering.

3. Read the fabric and lining composition

Composition can vary even between items with the same style name. Check the fibre percentages and, where stated, the lining that touches your head. Bamboo viscose is viscose made using bamboo as the raw material; it is different from cotton. The presence of elastane is another detail to compare.

For warm weather, consider coverage and layers; for colder days, compare the winter collection. For outdoor headwear, a peak alone does not establish UV protection: check the UPF rating for the exact product code.

4. Compare the House of Christine collections

5. Check care instructions before choosing

The complete code identifies the style and option: for example, 1008-4116 distinguishes HocLotus Paisley Elegance from other prints in the same family. Compare the colour name, photos and any selectable options. Screen settings can affect how colours appear.
